DSWF, Wildlife Artist of the Year 2009 Finals
My painting, 'Our Land' is a tribute to two of my friends who sadly passed away in the last few years. They were largely responsible for the saving of the last free roaming Black Rhino outside a reserve in Namibia. The painting reached the finals of the David Shepard Wildlife Foundation Wildlife Artist of the Year for the second year in a row. The prestigeous evening was hosted once again at the Mall Galleries in London, and was attended by many people. In fact the venue was packed out on the hot June evening. Although my work never gained me the title, it was however the taking part and being there with so many other fine artists, that made it all worth while.

I was lucky enough to bump into a legend, and a childhood hero of mine Mr Rolf Harris, who happily agreed to be photographed with me.
